Auburn Bay by Carma Developers continues to win awards.
The latest to be added to the company's string of SAM Awards is for best community.
The presentation was made as part of the 23rd annual SAM Awards gala hosted by the Canadian Home Builders' Association-Calgary Region.
Auburn Bay is a 360-hectare master-planned community in southeast Calgary that has proven popular with homebuyers.
It has created a cottage country atmosphere through its architectural guidelines, as well as the abundance of green space, ponds, park and tot lots. At the centre of the community is a 17-hectare man-made lake. Residents also have the use of Auburn House, a 7,000-square-foot lodge.
Builders in the community are also award winners. Heartland Homes handles the starter-home market, while Baywest Homes, Cardel Homes, Cedarglen Homes, and Jayman MasterBuilt are in the moveup market. Estate homes are being built by Albi Homes and Morrison Homes.
On the multi-family side, it's Hawthorne Homes. Other finalists for best community were: Carma Developers for Cranston, Carma Developers for McKenzie Towne, Walton Development and Management Inc. for SkyView Ranch, and Qualico Communities for Ravenswood in Airdrie.
